How many rules does the UFC have?

  • By Brosoro Brosoro, September 1, 2013 @ 3:49 am

Yea UFC has now a big position as a brand they do the best marketing out there, so people now is calling MMA UFC, they are doing every company goal and is a position in peoples mind. so later it will be called UFC instead of MMA, it seems UFC has a good marketing.

He said they used to elbow, they still throw lethal elbows, one of the better aspects

  • By Dean Jones, September 1, 2013 @ 5:16 am

    They still elbowwww?

  • By Cazaq, September 1, 2013 @ 5:29 am

The sport is called MMA not UFC.

  • By MrREDDRAGON1988, September 1, 2013 @ 6:08 am

i was wondering the same thing

  • By Chucky Marstein, September 1, 2013 @ 6:32 am

Why should the level of violence make such a difference? No one’s ever died in the UFC and there have always been referees and rules. Even in the first UFC match ever there were rules and the referee stopped that fight. Should we legalize rape so long as it’s just dry humping?

  • By samjs721, September 1, 2013 @ 6:39 am

    Ok makes sense…. lol

  • By tysswe1, September 1, 2013 @ 6:49 am

Apparently Ufc is a sport and mma is a company 😉

Why was Pat Barry in the thumbnail?

  • By willferrelsux, September 1, 2013 @ 7:35 am

The one problem with Bellator is they don’t have stars. It is hard to form an attachment with their fighters the way you can with UFC’s. UFC owns all the top stars in this sport.

This is just a bad interview all around. Too many cringeworthy moments.

  • By samjs721, September 1, 2013 @ 8:44 am

  • By adam timson, September 1, 2013 @ 10:16 am

0:44 ” they used to headbutt and elbow” ……. they still elbow.

  • By nmr20067, September 1, 2013 @ 10:25 am

Typo: Ring Of Combat in NJ.

  • By nmr20067, September 1, 2013 @ 10:27 am

You have Bellator, who is owned by Viacom I believe. And you have Shogun Fights in MD and Ring Of Combatnin NJ and the World Series of Fighting and other lower tier MMA leagues.

UFC was the first and they have the money and name brand recognition. Bellator might have more money through Viacom, but they don’t have the name brand recognition UFC has.

  • By nmr20067, September 1, 2013 @ 10:56 am

lol A lot of casual fans and people who don’t know about the sport do that.

  • By nmr20067, September 1, 2013 @ 11:52 am

“Calling MMA in general UFC would be like calling Football, NFL.”

lol, I know, you’re right. That’s like in the 90s people though AOL was the internet. I guess this shows that the UFC has the biggest brand and they have the money. And most of the best MMA fighters want to fight for the UFC too. I was starting to hope that Bellator would give the UFC some competition because at least their fighters finish fights at a higher rate. But I don’t think their fighters are as good.

rewatched the vid and i get what you are saying. But I think that was a mistake on the interviewer’s part. At other parts in the video he does refer to UFC and MMA as two separate entities.

High School wrestlers? Try several college national champions and Olympic wrestlers. Elbows are still legal too bro
